Documents recorded from 1984 to present are in electronic format and may be searched for online.
Per NRS 239B.030, we were required to remove document images from our website that contain personal indentification information. On September 15, 2006, we released document images recorded January 1, 2006 to present. These documents were reviewed and any personal information was removed.
It will be up to the next legislative session to determine how and when images recorded prior to December 31, 2005 will be handled. Please check our website frequently for updated information. We appreciate your patience during this transition.
Searching for a Document
Our records are indexed by name (grantor = seller, grantee = buyer). To search, you will need the names of the parties shown on the document and an approximate recording date. Enter the last name first with no comma and then the first name.
Records prior to 1984 are on microfilm and must be searched for at the Lyon County Recorder's Office.
Searching for a Map
Maps are indexed by name and/or Township, Range & Section (T14N R25E Sec 33). Mining Maps can be located in either the Record Database or Map Database, depending on the size of the map.
Searching for a UCC
Uniform Commercial Codes (UCCs) are indexed by name (debtor or secured party).
Requesting Document Copies
Advanced payment for Official Copies is required. We accept VISA, MasterCard and Discover (3% surcharge will be added) or you can send a check and a self addressed stamped envelope. Copies are $1.00 per page; for Certified Copies an additional $4.00 per document is charged.
