Canal Township Justice Court

The Canal Township Justice Court oversees matters relating to:

Criminal Cases
Misdemeanors, Gross Misdemeanors, Felonies.

Civil Cases
Small Claims Actions (up to $5,000), Evictions, General Civil Actions (up to $7,500), Temporary Protective Orders, Stalking, and Harrassment Orders.

Traffic Issues
Citations (traffic violations).

Public Education

The Court provides educational classes open to the public.  Please contact the Court for more information.

Other Services
Customer Service, Information, Notary Service (except for Tuesday and Wednesday), and Wedding Ceremonies (by appointment).

Waiver of Arraignment

Per Nevada Revised Statutes, the office staff cannot give legal advice.  The Court has a detailed listing of some items where staff can and cannot assist you.
