This Court handles Misdemeanors, Traffic Citations (Traffic Misdemeanors and Civil Infractions), General Civil Actions (up to $15,000.00), Small Claims (up to $10,000.00), Evictions and Temporary Protective Orders.  Other levels such as Gross Misdemeanors, Felonies, Divorce and Child Custody are handled in the Third Judicial District Court in Yerington.
 
There are six different Courts within Lyon County.  The jurisdiction of Canal Township Justice Court is limited to the Fernley area.  You are welcome to contact us if you have any questions.
