Bail Bonds

Bail bonds are accepted in the main lobby of the Lyon County Justice Complex, located at 911 Harvey Way in Yerington, Nevada. 

For after-hour service, an intercom button is located next to the locked front entrance doors to request detention staff assistance. 

Bonds are accepted in the following ways:

  • Surety and currency bonds posted by bail bond agents are taken 24 hours a day in the main Justice Complex lobby.
  • Credit and debit card transactions are accepted online.
    • There are fees associated with the electronic payment services.
    • Personal appearance in the Justice Complex lobby is not required for credit and debit card transactions.
  • Most bond transactions are processed within the hour.
  • ID validation will be required for all bond transactions.
  • Cash, money orders, or cashier checks are accepted 24 hours a day in the main Justice Complex lobby.

Special Notes:

  • The pay location code for cash is 4211
  • The inmate account window will only accept cash (United States paper currency), cashier’s checks, or money orders for the exact amount of the bond.

  • Coins will only be accepted for bonds that require less than an even dollar amount.

  • Detention facility staff does not have change.
  • Bail bondsmen are listed in the phone book and on internet search engines. The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is not authorized to recommend a bondsman, nor can assist you in contacting a bondsman.
  • An inmate released from custody or being bonded out will be processed as soon as possible; however, it may take up to five hours for the inmate to be released.
